My name is Apsara, and I'm an illustrator and designer based in Vancouver, BC. I graduated from the Design Formation program at Langara College in 2023. I'm currently a student at Capilano University's IDEA School of Design, where I'm working towards a Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication. I've also been playing with HTML/CSS since the mid-2000s, particularly in fandom spaces, and have a fond nostalgia for the web aesthetics of that era.

what is an apsara???

Apsara (ap-sa-ra) is a class of celestial, feminine beings in Hindu and Buddhist cultures, originally water and cloud spirits, also known as celestial nymphs, angels, or fairies. There are thousands of Apsaras carved in Cambodia's Angkor Wat, which inspired the classical Khmer dance Robam Tep Apsara. I was named after this dance. But please don't ask me to perform it!
